Cool "Techies"

The Swat team is a group of nineteen 5th grade students who are interested in learning about technology and who want to help others in their school learn about technology. Mrs. Bonnie Sanders is their advisor. They are recommended by their teacher because of their interest in technology and their ability to get along with both students and adults. The students had to fill in an application as if they were applying for a job and then went through a formal interview with the SWAT advisor. The following are some of the things the SWAT team learns:

how a computer works

how a network works

how to systematically solve problems with technology in real life situations as they arrive naturally at the school and in teacher made scenarios

how to create and update the Web site for Northwest Laurens Elementary School.

Lab work
