This year the Laurens County Historical Society celebrates
thirty two years as an integral part of the Laurens County, Georgia
community, linking the past to the future. The Organization began in 1967 as
a successor to the 1966 Carnegie Library Preservation Committee. Its
purpose is to collect and preserve the history and artifacts of |

Membership dues are $15 per
year for individuals; $20, family membership; $25 Patron; $25 Small Business,
Institutional, School, Library, Museums; $50 Sustaining Membership; $100,
Sponsor; and $200+ Benefactor. Members receive a quarterly newsletter.
The Newsletter contains genealogical information, sketches about
individuals as well as news and views about Laurens County History.
Announcements are also included , family reunion notices, and a list of books
